Mechanism of Action

IGF-1 LR3 is a synthetic analogue of Insulin-like Growth Factor 1 with an N-terminal arginine extension and Glu3 to Arg substitution that reduces IGFBP binding. This increases the free fraction in circulation and extends the half-life from ~12 minutes to approximately 20-30 hours. It binds the IGF-1 receptor (IGF-1R), activating PI3K/Akt/mTOR and MAPK/ERK cascades, which drive muscle satellite cell proliferation, differentiation, and protein synthesis.
